We are looking for an Open XR Engineer to join our team and aid in the development of our platform for Meta Quest and Android-based headsets. You’ll be a key part of the Be There Engineering team and will have an opportunity to build our cross-platform XR pipeline using OpenXR. You’ll be given an opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of Be There as the platform grows.

What you’ll do
Architect & implement OpenXR layers and extensions in C++ for Quest, Pico and future devices.
Integrate MV‑HEVC video pipelines with OpenGL/Vulkan rendering for ultra‑low‑latency 16 K playback.
Optimise CPU/GPU performance: multi‑view rendering, foveated techniques and fixed‑foveated video decode.
Prototype spatial UI components & gesture interactions in Unity or Unreal before porting to native.
Develop platform‑agnostic build systems & CI pipelines (CMake, Gradle, GitHub Actions) to keep us shipping daily.
Collaborate with visionOS counterparts to maintain feature parity and shared code where possible.
Write tests & documentation that de‑risk releases and empower teammates.
Stay on top of OpenXR spec evolution & vendor roadmaps, sharing insights with product.
